I was actually impressed when I saw my first 3d movie. Was very skeptical but it's really well done. I thought we would only get 3D when something pops out, but the movie is 3D throughout. Subtle at times, but cool.
I'll be watching the whole thing in 3D as it happens :)

Heard the U2 Imax 3-D movie was dope, but never got to see it. The thing about it is, U2 has a huge stage production, which actually merits 3-d, whereas Phish is pretty standard issue relatively speaking.. Not sure what benefits there would be from making this 3-D, unless they have some freaky stage design and props planned. IMO, an HD dvd would have more money making potential than a theatrical 3-d release, since it appears that 3-D has yet to make the successful jump to DVD yet.
Anyways, we'll hafta keep an eye on this...

U2 was filmed like 3 years ago so I imagine technology has changed since then.

The Avatar technology is supposed to be groundbreaking, and different from past and present 3-d movies, since stuff doesn;t just come out of the screen at you.. The screen actually has depth to it, and supposedly goes pretty deep... Interested to see it in Dec. (Avatar, that is!)

There was definitely a jib arm at Cypress, since I remember there being a big sweeping shot of the crowd during the Heavy Things they broadcasted on ABC.

CK lights will be jumping off the screen, oh yeah they never really film the lights so that won't happen.
if I have to wear 3-d glasses to watch then I'd rather watch it in SD
