Brown Chicken Brown Cow String Band playing free on Sunday at 11 AM at the Mar Vista farmers market. went out last night to the Basement Tavern to see them and they were great. if you like bluegrass you wont be disappointed!!!

BCBCSB were so nice too. My buddy and I chatted with some of them during setbreak, they were very happy I was audio taping. Kinda unusual as a fake taper to have a band so gung-ho on me taping. I tried to get video but that damn Tavern is so dark. Like I was right up front and still could hardly get anything. Will def be taping on Sunday. I went based on a friends recommendation w/out ever hearing them, gotta say I was impressed. Very good bluegrass.
Ive been contemplating Budos Band but I think I will pass, gonna head out to Joshua Tree on Sat for some hiking. Looks like the snow from last week melted thankfully. May hike in the Santa Monica Mtns on Sunday after the show.
I just found out that my wife got an internship here in Los Angeles and I won't have to move to Texas or Missouri! We'll have real dual incomes for the first time in like 5 years AND I get to finish fixing my car (it wasn't going to go with us if we had to move, VW convertibles from the 80s don't command the same "high" resale price in TX and MO as they do in LA). She'll be shrinking heads at the federal prison downtown starting this fall.
