Looking forward to trying Green Flash Palet Wrecker IIPA. Its being released next week. 6 pounds of hops per barrel!!!
just got home from Brawley's in charlotte with Founders Double Trouble, Old Hickory's Death by Hops (Hickory, NC), and Ballast Point's Sculpin. I haven't ever had any of them so I am really looking forward to tasting them all.
i also haven't had hopslam yet or pliny. i'm really just discovering IPA's for the most part because i used to not like the taste of a large amount of hops , but now i love it. acquired taste i guess.

Good to see this getting some play.
Really surprised nobody has mentioned Mountain Standard though... O'Dell's Double Black IPA.

Absolutely been LOVING this beer lately. Not too floral... just the right level of bitterness... and I really love how the roasted darkness kind of evens everything out and pulls it all together.
You know I've had Pliny and I just don't really get it. It was pretty good, but I didn't find it knocking my socks off. ::shrug::

Heady topper for me. Still looking to try the Hill Farmstead Eprium, double IPA

Heady Topper
Tried founders Double Trouble last night. Definitely a hophead beer, it was heavy on the pine and citrus and then kicks you nicely with hops. Definitely a good beer. A very tasty beer.
Lawson brews better beer than the Alchemist! I concur! But you should also try either Hill Farmstead Edward or the Fiddlehead which is almost identical......
Can't get my hands on Heady Topper.
I have to go with Founders Double Trouble, based on what I can get locally. Damn fine beer.

Loving the Southern Tier...they've been mis-marking the price to be 8.99 a six pack at my local market in Brooklyn....cheaper than the Magic Hat!
I have nothing to trade besides some Nugget Nectar when it is released shortly, but I would kill to try either Pliny Elder or Younger, or Hopslam. I can't find any of this stuff where I'm at. Central NJ...
Sixpoint Resin
It's a toss up between Heady Topper and Pliny for me. Probably HT though... Lawson's Double Sunshine is a damn fine dipa as well.
Damn, they were out of Lawsons, went with the Double Trouble instead per recs in this thread, it hit the spot.
I'm very curious about this beer, haven't seen it around here yet.

Have yet to try Pliny, but suspect I might feel the same, at this point it has been hyped to death and having a steady diet of Heady Topper since the cannery has been up and running I think I am just setting myself up for disapointment. But if anyone wants to send me some I will surely drink it with an open mind ;)
I'd really like to try Heady Hopper but I can't get that in my area. My go to while its available is definitely Hopslam. I keep telling myself everytime I buy it that its probably the last time I'll see in on the shelves for a year so I might as well get it while I can. But I keep finding it, and then I can't resist. Definitely one of the best beers around. I almost wish it would sell out so I can stop spending so much money... almost.

I was dissapointed with pliny but that probably had to do with the hype I had been hearing. It is a great IIPA but not in my top 3. I had some next to hopslam a couple weeks ago and I thought hopslam killed it.
My current top 3
hopslam
firestone walker double jack
dogfishhead 90 minute
Ive been getting really into stouts this winter. I had this beer called eclipse which is barrel aged and cost 30 bucks for a bomber. I couldnt believe the price but it actually lived up to the money. Ive never had anything like it in my life.
