Yotes finding a new buyer and adding $ this week, good for them.

hopefully it would be for $2m-ish and not $3m.

agreed.

CBJ saves some money here. Can't be discounted with how they've been spending like drunken sailors recently.

i like it for Phoenix, not sure I'd be thrilled with it for Buffalo...i dont like his cap number going forward as he ages, if he was the only option, maybe, but hopefully Darcy is looking bigger picture than settling for a guy like Vermette.

League owned team that is bleeding money adding salary. If I'm an owner, I am pissed.

A source close to the WSCR The Score has told me that Jonathan Toews' "upper body injury" is indeed a concussion.

At this time, the severity of the concussion is not known, but it is believed to have been suffered early in the Blackhawks' recent road trip. The source also implied that Toews may have hidden his symptoms from the team to remain on the ice.

Toews missed yesterday's morning skate and the Hawks' 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings last night. He also missed today's practice.

Here's hoping this source, whom I trust, is misinformed here. The Hawks can not afford to lose Toews for any extended length of time. If there is a glimmer of hope, it's the fact that Toews was able to play through the injury for a number of games, uncluding all of the Hawks' 3-1 win over St. Louis on Sunday.

Roys value is hard to gauge, first off, he wont be given away without returning a LEGIT top 6 C prospect + pick, maybe even a 1st.

it can be debated, but he's a legit top 6 C that avgs .79 ppg (Carter .74, Stastny .55), in his prime and affordably signed for next year..he's WAY more valuable than Vermette. (even if many of us want him gone)
