On November 20, 2012 around 7 p.m. AST, Camacho was shot multiple times while in Puerto Rico. The driver of Camacho's car was killed in the attack. Several news agencies are reporting that that Camacho, 50, was seated in a vehicle when he was shot by unknown individuals from a passing car. According to El Nuevo Día, Camacho was shot in the neck and face and taken to Rio Piedras Medical Center, where he is listed as being in grave condition.

Camacho was 79-6-3 in a professional career that spanned 30 years, from 1980 to 2010.

He was a bulldog.....ESPN had flashed that he had been killed, then recanted that. I am watching the Indiana / Georgetown game.
