I don't even no what to say. He had so much potential. So young, so talented.

We're losing too many good young rappers.

Hip hop died with Biggie and Pac for the most part. There's still some decent stuff out there, but most of the stuff that actually gets airplay is straight garbage.

hold up now!!

Aesop Rock
Sage Francis
Del the Funky Homosapien
Slug (Atmosphere)
RJD2
Mr. Lif

^6 reasons why hip-hop is more than alive & well. The Def Jux & Rhymesayers labels have tons of kick-ass artists that make Biggie & 2Pac look like the thugs that they were...and I don't hate them. I'll be in Atlanta in August watching Aesop give the crowd an eargasm.

But anyway...carry on, carry on. ~I know this was a lil phat-mourning-thread...sorry~
;)

I personally think that referring to RJD2 as a hip-hop artist is a bit of a stretch

What genre would you put a DJ on a hip-hop label, who scratches mixes/records like a DJ is supposed to, has rappers perform with him live & on his albums, tours with rappers as their live DJ...etc...

Ever been to an rj show? They are fun as hell & exactly what hip-hop is all about (to me).

thats just cruel...;)

Nothing compares to seeing Panic live to me. Nothing. But I love good music & good hip-hop is as much a part of my life as any other genre.

I'm pretty certain live rap still sucks.
