String Cheese Incident
Flag this Post?
washed up ... wow, hey different strokes for different folks, have you ever listened to Tyler Grant and Andy Thorn together, they are the next generation man and they crush it every single time. I will tape tonight and make it available to all and then one can judge, fair enough I would think, I will be the only scrub that plays tonight,
and tonight will not be an acoustic bluegrass pick, full on electric with Chris Misner on Drums and Sean Foley on keys , big amps, loud guitars and banjos !!!!
Having mid-level bluegrass acts and mid-tier jambands play doesn't really constitute music town USA. It's cool that there are a lot of musicians and music there that you like. And I'm sure it's a beautiful town but quite honestly, from what I can gather about it, I think a lot of people would be bored with the music scene there. Doesn't seem like there's much variety.

Demographics
As of the census[5] of 2006, there were 1,337 people, 610 households, and 355 families residing in the town. The population density was 909.5 people per square mile (351.8/km²). There were 675 housing units at an average density of 440.4 per square mile (170.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.06% White, 0.22% African American, 0.43% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 0.57% from other races, and 1.29% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.58% of the population.
You have to really look to find a place in the USA with that small a Hispanic population these days.
All that said, I would definitely have enjoyed seeing what you saw last night and hope you have another great night tonight. Enjoy!

I wonder who the two black people are?
The variety is taking shape these days I believe. So many people have been drawn here that have different musical tastes and now newer projects from different genres are coming together, we can see if they make it worth while ... I book about 90 shows a year here locally and am working very hard to bring in different elements so if you have and bands you would like to recommend that ever tour Colorado or are already here please let me know because i am trying really hard to ad a lot of different textures to the landscape, and for the most part ears are open here !!!! They want some womp !!!

As I said I will tape tonight and give a run down in the am, should be a fun night
lol....'TWAT-WAFFLE'
Sorry OP you're statement is false. All of these people moved there. NYC Nola, Chicago have better scenes, maybe even SF. Nola has people born and raised from there and they are all legends. As much as I love all of these Ned bands(SCI, Los, Yonder, etc) NONE of them will ever be considered legends like George Porter, Johnny V, Dr. John, etc
Yes a ton of people there have played RR but it's right down the road and it's kinda easy for bands to play hometown gigs at hometown venues. Esp when you finally get to know people
Ned is a great music community but just the factor that they are so small hurts them.

Oh yeah keep the womp outta Ned!! I know it'll prob sell but there are other genres that would sell too
Hope tonight was fun

yeah but much like a lot of the ned folks, he said it while sitting on a very tall horse
My horse is actually quite small as I am only 3 feet tall Great show last night .... Tyler is the man, end of story, my favorite guitar player these days !!! I will edit the recording and get some stuff up great night for sure
Hate that Grant Farm is always playing when there are huge names in town.
Sounds like a great night, I'm sure it was a blast
