Wow- that really is hysterical!!

its funny that all the artists had a publicity photo or performance shot next to their entry, and then there's michetti, who has a low-res photo of a flyer showing a blue goomba with a pirate sword and television head over a name rendered in an off-the-shelf font with italics and outline.

I think that list is a joke...none of the artist mentioned make anything cutting edge or progressive

Michetti actually is a good producer, he's just a horrible songwriter. His production, from a technical sense, is actually really good and he has an incredible grasp of Ableton. It's his originality and his overall sound that are completely elementary, but if he were to use that production skill on real music he would actually be capable of something.

did you just mention ott in there with alpha data? i usually agree with what you have to say but.... IN FUCKING DUB?!?!?!?! brownie needs to act his age. and i hope glitch music goes out the pipe like the tampons at a birth control research facility. fucking seriously? In Dub > rhcp remixes.

The RHCP remix is definitely one of his more mainstream tracks...I Enter You Enter I or Nerfertiti is some serious shit. And not much is ever gonna touch In Dub, but I like what Alpha Data is doing right now just as much as I liked Mir.

say that sentence out loud to yourself. then take one step backwards, and then ... fuck your own face

I don't see what's wrong with wanting someone to do that...you get hollow as "bangers" put out by Bassnectar and Pretty Lights, then on the other hand there's plenty of really intelligent electronic music that is great to listen to but not exactly something you can rage to, and then you have Alpha Data in the middle. It's a cool blend. Sorry if you don't.

It's called mixing you goof:

I'm with this guy. I work too hard for my money to spend it on some butt-nut turning knobs on a board that probably isn't even plugged in. At least wear a giant mouse head or something

Even then, he'll still enjoy mediocre music, like Nico Jaar.

Actually what I think you are talking about when you said "There is no "production" value to any of that." I think you meant to say "composition" value. His production is very legit. Cause after listening to track on that page I heard very well balanced mixes. His comprehension of compression is well under hand as well his mixing... If you listen there isn't any really frequency cancelation.. stereo imaging is on point.. all of these aforementioned points are evidence of a very good "production" value. When you speak of structure you're talking more about composition.. And hit me if I'm wrong, but dubstep as a genre a formula based.. Every track starts, builds, and drops the same exact way.. Dubstep is already over.. for me at least it is. The only artists really changing the ball game for "dubstep" are the ones who are met with the most hated... "he who must not be named".

Anyways, point being... Michetti is on point as a producer.. very much so. As a composer, he's just following the formula for a genre.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJzfTZlEl40 .. The same formula for everyone of them use.

Michetti as producer not "awful"

Dubstep as a genre (although quite enjoyable at first) is repetitive and boring after a while... I like the innovators.
