Here's what wiki has to say. TIL:

Tech house is a subgenre of house music that mixes elements of techno with house music. The term tech house developed as a short-hand record store name for a category of electronic dance music that combined musical aspects of techno, such as "rugged basslines" and "steely beats," with the harmonies and grooves of progressive house.[1][2]

Deep house is a subgenre of house music that originated in the 1980s, initially fusing elements of Chicago house with 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music.

hmmm, well they both sound very similar.

peace division essential mix and/or anything with clive henry is always deserving of mention in anything "deep". anything troxler/visionquest too.

Bruno pronsato, enzo saragusa, groove armada, steve bug all are wonderful options that at times fit this bill.

http://www.ibiza-voice.com/music/podcast/Enzo_Siragusa .....not the typical soulful deep house but to me really defines deep dubby house music

go old school with Dubtribe Sound System if you want to go really deep. they're classy as hell and can bring the ruckus too.

also check out Kevin Yost - The Road Less Traveled

Mr. Fingers - "Can You Feel It".... essential!
