I can only speak for last year because I have some friends who went, but I'm pretty sure it takes place every year around that time. Last year it was like 12/30-1/8 or something, running from New years to my birthday. I was not pleased with the change this year to say the least, especially after skipping some potential trips throughout the year to save money and vacation time for it.
whats holding you back. specific time requested off? prior plans for that week?
I'm still tossing around the idea, its just not as convenient. The automatic time off for new years was huge for me, as I'd only be using a couple of next years vacation days with the prior dates. Now I'd have to take a whole week off of work, after just having a bunch of time off for the holidays. Just doesn't make as much sense. Also the fact that it was over NYE was a big selling point for me, as I usually like to take some kind of vacation around that time.

I would be thinking more seriously about trying to make this happen if there was more techno on the lineup. its pretty house biased, which is fine, but I'd personally like to see more techno. don't get me wrong though, I still think the lineup is fucking amazing
