I saw real Jerry roaming the camp at Bonnaroo last year. It was like 4am and he looked just like him, appropriate age and weight, disheveledness.

i think the fake jerry is like a perfect jerry. hes perfect, more soul filled, more real of a guitar player.. more evolved, more creative.. i think that jerry was pumping out to many shows and had to much on hus plate, this new guy is mind blowing, so much new energy onstage, i thought i would never say this but i think hes more real.

im not trying to nock the jerry here, i just think its a sign of the times..
music changes, it evolves, it gets better and better... i think that anyone that would say that the same band 40 years before was better than 40 years later would be ignorant. there so practiced now, it looks like there having fun..

FAKE JERRY, PHIL, and BOBBY all get along you can tell, i think that used to be one of the holdups back in the day,, the unseen backstage drama between bobby jerry and phil..
all gone now, u got a new guitar player ripping jerrys old licks even better than jerry coul have..

Im 19, never got to see Jerry, but have been listening to the Dead since I was twelve. Furthur has developed their own style of Dead as a group. Some speculate that they are trying to be the Grateful Dead, but i think thats foolish. Bob may be a little off these days but Phil is on point and clearly is not trying to spoil the name of the Dead and/or Jerry. But I mean, come on guys, they are the reason this music is around at all. Jerry couldn't have done it alone

For the record, Jhon K is a beast and he hones respect to the man

Do you think there were similar conversations (arguments) after Beethoven or Mozart died? Or any other great composer/musician over the years?

What is more important/influential? Jerry's creating/writing the music in the songs or performing them live?

One is in the moment, the other lasts forever.
