All kids need something to identify with, and for me it was Skull and Roses.

Alton Kelley's masterpiece triggered a curiosity, and launched me on a 30+ year ongoing journey which has brought me to interesting places and most important, allowed me to meet and get to know some truly amazing people. Not to mention the music. I hope my own kids are as lucky as I and enjoy a period in life where they are able to travel, without the obligations of job and family, fending for themselves and experiencing all the country has to offer, good and bad. I can only hope that they too are someday intrigued by a piece of art or music, and that they find the requisite passion to convert curiosity into discovery.

Thank You Alton Kelley.

I missed this thread, but I had been wondering how you had been coping since I read the news. Good luck with it.

leno just did a joke on the subject, kind of silly but the jist was staring at the art was like drugs or something -- he busted kevin's balls saying he'd really like that joke
